Life in Beta was created within the framework of dancEUA, a EU co-funded project connecting organisations from Croatia, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and Sweden.

The choreography explores a world driven by optimisation, abundance, and the pursuit of collective perfection. Set within a living board game, the work introduces ten avatars - ten bodies - nodes within a system governed by Beth, a central consciousness regulating instinct and behaviour for the good of the whole.

The system promises unity and the end of suffering, yet dissolves individuality in the process. Choice becomes simulation, abundance produces hyperreality rather than fulfilment, and even the idea of winning collapses when everyone is endlessly improved.

Life in Beta is a reflection of our constantly upgrading systems, modern technology and the fight of our youth in today’s world.
